High Optical Power Handling Fiber Coupled AO Modulators
Brimrose Corporation of America is a leading manufacturer of acousto-optic products in the United States with more than 35 years of experience in the area of design and fabrication of Acousto-Optic (AO) components and variety of instruments employing AO devices. We are proud to introduce a new series of fiber coupled, high speed AO Modulators with optical power handling of up 5W CW. The new high optical power handling fiber coupled AO modulators are suitable for light intensity modulation, fixed or variable frequency shifting, or pulse picking applications. They are available at 1064 and 1550 nm and other wavelengths are available upon request. The new high optical power handling units operate at 110, 150 or 250 MHz with rise times as low as 10 nsec, and other frequencies up to 1GHz are available upon request. The new units are packaged in small hermetically sealed enclosures and offer coupling losses in the range of 2 to 3 dB with extinction ration >50 dB. Standard units are provided with either Polarization Maintaining or Single Mode fiber terminated with FC/APC connectors. Other fibers or connectors are available upon request. The new high optical power handling units operate at low RF drive power and they offer stable performance and high reliability for commercial or space applications. Brimrose also offers a large variety of RF Drivers compatible with our Acousto-Optic components, including fixed frequency, variable frequency and PC controlled drivers. Any of these are available with Analog Amplitude Modulation, TTL compatible, or a combination of both. Custom drivers for Pulse Picking applications are available upon request. Brimrose drivers are provided in the laboratory or small compact OEM enclosures. For more information or to learn more about Brimrose’s free space AO Modulators, no frequency shift recirculating loop systems, or 2x1 / 1x2 optical switching systems, please contact Jan S. Kasprzak, Business Development at jank@brimrose.com or via phone during the show at 443-417-8439.

New Integrated High Speed SWIR AOTF Hyperspectral Imager
Brimrose Corporation of America is proud to introduce a new series of miniature VIS and SWIR Hyperspectral Imagers (HSI) with support electronics integrated to the Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter (AOTF) Hyperspectral module. Brimrose’s HSI are based on an AOTF that acts as an electronically tunable spectral band pass filter. It is a solid-state device with no mechanical moving parts and immune to vibration. It is designed to work in the laboratory or in harsh environments on installations such as large drones, aircraft, or other vehicles. The utilization of the AOTF into the imaging system offers unmatched spectral flexibility in terms of scanning speed over the full range or random hopping on wavelengths of interest. Collecting an image data cube consisting of 200 bands takes approximately <2 second. The AOTF HSI provides the complete spectrum of each pixel to the end-user for further analysis or image processing. Spectral data cubes are saved in “.png”, “.txt” or “.bsq” formats and are compatible with ENVI software. Using standard Brimrose software, the target or area of interest can be viewed at a user specified wavelength in real-time. The system is designed to collect the data cube of either stationary or moving target at any angle. Also, our standard data cube collection software offers customizable exposure time, automatic gain, dynamic range optimization, user adjustable system signal response and non-uniformity correction, image zoom during acquisition and many more. The proprietary design of Brimrose AOTF HSI offers high spectral resolution as low as 1nm in the VIS region and high spatial resolution (camera dependent) up to 1392 x 1040 pixels. Brimrose AOTF HSI is a cost effective, rugged, and compact design that offers superior speed, image performance, high signal to noise ratio, wide field of view and is suitable for various food, biomedical, pharmaceutical and military applications. A c-mount interface makes it compatible with any microscope for biomedical research such as cancer detection, Raman or Fluorescence Spectroscopy. For more information, please contact Jan S. Kasprzak, Business Development at jkasprzak@brimrose.com or via phone 443-417-8439.
