Abstract
In September 2024, we successfully conducted an in-orbit technology demonstration of the optical data relay system "LUCAS" developed by JAXA. The user data rate of 1.8Gbps is the world's fastest in GEO-LEO optical communication in the 1.5μm band. This paper introduces the overview of LUCAS and quick on-orbit data evaluation results.
