TELIC is a US-based company with 15 employees generating revenue of just under 2 million euros. This acquisition is highly strategic for the HEF Group. TELIC possesses advanced technical skills, including etching and metal deposition, which complement those already present in the Division in the United States. TELIC will allow HEF, by adding these technological components to its service offerings in the United States, to position itself as an essential partner in the field of Photonics. HEF Photonics is pleased to announce that Dr. Jean-Noel Maran has been appointed as the North America General Manager for HEF Photonics, of which, Abrisa Technologies is a proud member. For the past 16 years, he was at Coractive, a Canadian company, and had served as its CEO for the last 4 years. Dr. Maran will be based out of Quebec, Canada and part time in California, USA. Dr. Chantal Germain, Head of HEF Photonics Division says, “This was a very clear choice for us as Dr. Maran brings more than 20 years of experience from the optics, laser, and photonics industries. His business leadership, PhD in electrical engineering and physics, and track record for driving development and innovation of enabling photonic technology is just what HEF Photonics USA needs to continue to innovate for the future and better serve our North American markets”.
