Whether it’s underestimating your own abilities, attributing success to factors beyond your control, or feeling like a fraud in professional contexts, impostor phenomenon encompasses a range of unhelpful feelings experienced by people from historically excluded groups. While targeted interventions that enhance individual’s resilience are insufficient to counteract impostor phenomenon, we’ll explore how structural changes to research culture can improve the workplace for everyone.
