Airport information

Franz-Josef-Strauss Airport (MUC) is Munich's international airport situated about a 45-minute drive from the Fairgrounds

Transportation from the airport 

  • On exhibition days (Tuesday-Friday), a shuttle arriving and departing from Entrance West will be available for booking
  • A one-way trip via taxi will cost a fixed price of 85 Euro. Taxies are available directly in front of the airport terminals.
  • To go directly to the city centre, S-Bahn Lines 1 and 8 depart the airport regularly. Find tickets and fare information.

Public transportation from the airport

Public transportation City Centre - Fairgrounds

From the city centre, Underground Line U2 connects the central station to the fairgrounds - leave the train at "Messestadt West". Take advantage of our Journey Planner.

Tickets can be purchased online and in advance. Munich VerkehrsVerbund MVV also offers an app.
