Bo Gu worked for IPG Photonics as Director of Asian Operations and General Manager of IPG China from 2008 to 2012 before he formed BOS Photonics to develop photonics technologies and provide consulting services.

BOS Photonics is a Massachusetts based company aiming at providing marketing insights and developing the next generation photonics technology by incubating start-ups with financial, marketing and management support.
