Shang Gao

Shang Gao, born in Nagoya, Japan, is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Medical FUSION (Frontier Ultrasound Imaging and Robotic Instrumentation) Laboratory at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. He received his M.S. degree in Robotics Engineering from the same institution in 2020, dual B.Eng. degrees in Robotics & Mechatronics System Engineering from University of Detroit Mercy, USA, and in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China with honor in 2018. His current research interests include medical robotics, photoacoustic imaging, image-guided intervention specialized in cardiac catheter ablation monitoring, and robot-assist surgery guidance.
