Jonathan W. Evans received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Cedarville University in 2008, the M.S. degree in electro-optics from the University of Dayton in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in optical sciences and engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2014. He joined the Sensors Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2008 where he worked as a Research Physicist until 2021. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. His interests include solid state lasers, infrared spectroscopy, beam steering, and nonlinear frequency conversion. He is a senior member of SPIE and a senior member of Optica.
