Dr. You Yang

You Yang received the Ph.D. on CS from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Department of Automation, Tsinghua University. From 2011 to 2013, he was the Chief Scientist with Sumavision Research. Since 2013, he joined School of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he is currently a Full Professor and the Vice Dean. He has authored or coauthored 139 peer-reviewed articles and authorized 45 domestic and U.S. patents. His research interests include 3D visual communications and computational imaging. He was elected as IET Fellow in 2018. He has been a Committee/TPC Member or the Session Chair of over 30 international conferences, including ICME, ICASSP, VCIP, ICIMCS, MMM, and others, and a Reviewer of 64 prestigious international journals from IEEE, ACM, Optica, SPIE, and other associations. He was awarded the First Prize of Technical Invention Award of the Ministry of Education, China, in 2012, the Highly Commended Award of E&T Innovation Award of Outstanding Innovation in Communication and IT, U.K., in 2020, the Second Prize of Technical Invention Awards of China Society of Image and Graphics in 2021, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Ministry of Education, China, in 2022, and the Finalist of IET Impact in Society Awards, U.K., in 2023, and the Silver Medal of International Category of IET Excellence and Innovation Awards in 2024. He has been served as the General Secretary for the Image and Video Communication Technical Committee in CSIG since 2020. He has been an Associate Editor of OSA Continuum since 2023, Journal of Electronic Imaging since 2021, IEEE ACCESS since 2018, IET Image Processing since 2018, and PLoS One from 2015 to 2022.
