Prof. Wei-Chih Wang

Dr. Wei-Chih Wang, a Professor at National Tsing Hua University and Affiliated Professor at the University of Washington, specializes in polymer-based advanced materials, MEMS, THz technology, and metamaterials for industrial, biomedical, and military applications. His pioneering research focuses on amorphous and metamorphous structures for wave manipulation, as well as advancements in electromagnetic phenomena across RF, THz, IR, and visible bands.

Dr. Wang has authored over 230 publications and holds 30 patents, with notable contributions in soft robotics, reconfigurable antennas, and broadband energy harvesting devices. He has received significant federal and private research funding to support his groundbreaking work. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Wang is recognized for his efforts in promoting diversity in engineering and advancing sensor and actuator technologies with transformative implications across various domains.
