Quantum West Business Summit: Robust Local Area Quantum Networks for Scalable Quantum Computing
30 January 2024 • 1:15 PM - 2:45 PM PST | Moscone Center, Room 155 (Upper Mezzanine South)
It is believed that the first fault tolerant quantum computer will be on the order of 20m x 50m - a machine comparable to the large supercomputers of today. To effectively fully use such a machine will require at least some logic gates between distant pieces of the machine. What would be the required quantum network capabilities for a multi-node, albeit under the same roof, quantum computer? What quantum interconnect capabilities would be desired or at least necessary? This panel will explore the quantum network resources essential to such a multi-node quantum computer.
