Quantum West Business Summit: PICs for Quantum 2.0
30 January 2024 • 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM PST | Moscone Center, Room 155 (Upper Mezzanine South)
Much has been contemplated and stated about the potential and complexity of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to be viable at scale for Quantum 2.0. We will take a full-circle approach by covering leading-edge work around the various passive components, active components, and material systems. We will discuss how fabless, fabs, and software simulators and multiple leading highly funded quantum computing companies ultimately need PICs to scale their technologies. We will explore where the state of the art is today and where it will need to be in the future. Ultimately, PICs are essential to quantum, but quantum technology will disrupt classic photonics via higher levels of integration.
