Abstract
Ultrasound tomography (USCT) in combination with advanced reconstruction algorithms such as full waveform
inversion (FWI) leads to ultrasound images with an image quality comparable to that of MRI images. The aim of
the QUSTom project is to extend the application of such algorithms to full 3D imaging. A key component of the
project is a clinical feasibility study evaluating the performance of the 3D FWI method. This paper focuses on
the technical aspects of data acquisition from corresponding datasets using the 3DUSCTIII device as part of this
study.
