SPIE Optics + Photonics application tracks

Highlighting work in Sustainability and AI/ML

What is an application track?

Each application track is a topical area with broad-range interest that can be selected during the abstract submission process if relevant to your research. All presentations selected into the application track can be surfaced together using an application track filter in the program on the SPIE website.

Listing presentations together on a specific topic within the program helps participants more easily locate your presentation in their area of interest.

What are the benefits of application tracks?

Application tracks enable attendees to group and explore presentations in the conference programs to more easily plan their event schedule around the topic of interest. Application track filters span across all conferences at an SPIE event. The ability to group presentations together across the entire event in this way helps participants more easily locate a presentation in their area of interest and has the reciprocal benefit of helping authors' presentations be more easily found.

Two application tracks to explore

Sustainability

Papers that highlight the use of optics and photonics for renewable energy, natural resource management, sustainable and green manufacturing, and greenhouse gas mitigation in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

View over 350 presentations tied to the sustainability track. Filter on each symposia to access those papers specific to each one.

AI/ML

Papers that showcase the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning to create and implement intelligent systems across multiple sectors, technologies, and applications.
