Who or what inspired you to work in science/engineering?Curiosity. And the value of ocean color remote sensing in oceanography.
Primary responsibilities of your current jobI am working with chlorophyll satellite data, which are the first step of primary production in the ocean. Remote sensing is the only tool to follow evolution of the ocean over decades.
Biggest obstacle or challenge that you have faced in your careerI found that my colleagues did not understand that I have fewer publications than they do, because I had three kids, and because of that, it is more difficult to access the grade of Director of Research. But I am very happy to have three kids.
Advice you wish you had received when you were first starting outBe patient.
