A typical day.
At the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ), I am often writing press releases about important scientific results, which require intense discussions with the responsible scientists. I also keep in touch with the press and journalists, organize tours for visitors, plan for upcoming events such as "Open Doors" or "Girls' Day," keep in contact with alumni, and plan for new publications, i.e., flyers, image film, etc.

What I enjoy most.
Leaning about the fascinating physics at MPQ, and trying to communicate this fascination to visitors, especially high school students.
Words of wisdom.
Be confident, but still realistic about your own skills. Work hard and aim for a very good qualification. Be clear about what you want to achieve instead of dreaming of winning the "Nobel Prize." Be sensitive about whether you are accepted as a scientist or a "nice woman." Take a little time after each step in your education, and rethink what you really want.
