BELLINGHAM, WA, and NASHUA, NH - SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, and Laser Focus World, owned by Endeavor Business Media, have agreed to partner on the well-established Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar starting with the San Francisco-based SPIE Photonics West in February 2020.
Now it its 32nd year, the Laser Focus World-produced seminar will be augmenting SPIE's growing industry program. The day-long seminar, taking place on the Monday between the SPIE BiOS and SPIE Photonics West exhibitions, features content specifically designed for industry executives, covering the state of the global laser and photonics markets, trade challenges, investment flows, and emerging technology trends and opportunities.
The Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar offers photonics-industry executives, analysts, and investors strategic insights and guidance, with exclusive content and invaluable, high-level networking opportunities. The networking includes a breakfast, lunch, and a high-profile post-Seminar reception, sponsored by SPIE.
By including SPIE experts in the program — SPIE Government Affairs Director Jennifer Douris O'Bryan is set to present a lunchtime keynote this year — the seminar will offer participants new insights into the international business climate. "Seminar attendees will gain new understanding from SPIE's expertise on global public policy and R&D investment trends," said SPIE Director of Industry Development Stephen Anderson. "Creating a closer relationship between SPIE and the Laser & Photonics Marketplace seminar enables both organizations to add value for their shared industry audience."
"We see this partnership with SPIE as an important step for us that will serve our mutual audience of industry executives," noted Seminar Co-Chair and Editor-in-Chief of Laser Focus World John Lewis. "By cooperating more closely, we can both heighten the profile and value of the Seminar, and extend more benefits to the industry executives attending Photonics West.
SPIE Photonics West — which, in 2020, will mark its 26th year — is the flagship of SPIE and the leading event for the photonics industry, welcoming more than 23,000 registered attendees annually to its San Francisco home. The week-long symposium includes more than 50 conferences, 5,000 technical presentations, two exhibitions, and numerous related professional development and networking opportunities.
The Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar is scheduled for 3 February, 2020, at the InterContinental Hotel. Registration for SPIE Photonics West will open in October; registration for the Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar is now open.
