Computar Optics ViSWIR Hyper-Apo Series is Winner of the Inspect Award 2022 for Vision
Computar, the leading Japanese lens manufacturer in surveillance and machine vision, operated by the CBC Group, announced today that Computar's ViSWIR Hyper / Multi-Spectral Lens Series was awarded 1st place in Vision by the Inspect Awards. This week, the winners were announced at Vision 2021, the world's leading trade fair for machine vision. "What makes this series at the forefront of vision technology is the use of ultra-low dispersion glass and low, partial-dispersion glass paired with superior design technology developed from Computar's extensive optics experience. This paring minimizes the focus shift within a few micron millimeters at a super wide range of wavelengths." according to Mr. Katsuya Hirano, Chief Optical Designer, CBC Group. "With this, spectral imaging is achievable with a single sensor camera by simply syncing the lighting." With ViSWIR HYPER-APO, it is unnecessary to adjust focus for different wavelengths. Adopting an APO floating design reduces the focus shift at any wavelength and any working distance. This function makes the series ideal for multiple applications, including machine vision, UAV, and remote sensing. ViSWIR Fixed Focal Length Lens Series Created for the Latest Visible + SWIR Imaging Sensors

Both lens series are engineered for the latest SWIR imaging sensor (IMX990/IMX991*). ViSWIR HYPER-APO Series Fully corrected focus shift in visible and SWIR range (400nm-1,700nm). “By using ultra-low dispersion glass and low partial dispersion glass paired with superior design technology developed from Computar’s extensive optics experience, the focus shift is minimized within a few micron mm at a super wide range of wavelengths.” according to Mr. Katsuya Hirano, Chief Optical Designer, CBC Group. “With this, spectral imaging is achievable with a single-sensor camera by simply syncing the lighting. With ViSWIR HYPER-APO, adjusting focus for different wavelengths or keeping the resolution high from short to long working distances is unnecessary. Adopting an APO floating design* reduces the focus shift at any wavelength and working distance. This function makes the series ideal for multiple applications, including machine vision, UAV, and remote sensing. ViSWIR Lite Series The ViSWIR Lite Series achieves a clear and precise image visible to the SWIR range by applying a multilayer coating to absorb the specific light. Applying a multilayer coating on the metal lens parts makes it possible to minimize the negative lighting effects. The broadband anti-reflection coating is applied on all ViSWIR lens elements, allowing high and stable transmission at a super-wide wavelength range of 400 to 1,700nm. The ViSWIR lens series delivers high-quality images using the latest Visible + SWIR sensors. Computar® Optics Launches a Compact 45MP, 1.4" C-Mount Lens Series
Computar, the leading Japanese lens manufacturer in surveillance and machine vision, operated by the CBC Group, has released a 1.4" MPT Series. The MPT Machine Vision Lens Series is engineered for the latest industrial imaging sensors (IMX492, IMX530, IMX540*). *Product of SONY Semiconductor Solutions Group. MPT Series Features: Dedicated design for the latest high resolution 1.4" ~1.2" sensor. The MPT Series was engineered with a 1.4" ~1.2" image format and the current 1.1" and 1" formats. It is compatible with 2.3um or 2.74um small pixel sizes and delivers superior performance, including optimum resolution, low distortion, and anti-shading. The floating design delivers high performance at any working distance. MPT Series retains superior performance at any working distance, ideal for today's latest, diverse Machine Vision applications. The super high-resolution imaging sensor is also ideal for many vertical markets, including industrial drones, sports analytics, and wide-area surveillance. High-level aberration correction and centering/alignment technology delivers an extraordinary performance from the image center to the corner with tiny pixels. LensConnect Remote Controlled Machine Vision Lens Series

This award-winning, innovative Plug and Play lens series allows remote adjustment of the zoom, focus, or iris and comes with a simple set-up software compatible with Windows or Linux (zoom adjustment for varifocal models only). In addition, the remote control is easy to achieve - even without prior knowledge of the lens. The floating focus design delivers ultra-high resolution from near to far, and stepper motors enable precise focus control and high repeatability.
